Unity 3D is a game engine that is rapidly gaining popularity. Its main advantage is its lightness and intuitiveness with impressive possibilities. With Unity 3D, you can create games for Windows, Android, iOS, Blackberry, OSX, Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox and Flash. The engine allows you to create games of all genres. The developer can easily import textures, models and sounds. All popular image formats are supported for textures. 3D models can be in the following formats: FBX, COLLADA, 3DS, DXF. Audio files can also be in one of the most popular formats, including MP3 and WAV.Scripting is mostly done using JavaScript, although codes can be written in C#. Many of the examples included in the help system are written in JavaScript. The official Unity 3D website has several online demonstrations of its capabilities. You can play small game fragments. But to do this, you need to install Unity Web Player (UnityWebPlayer.exe).
