We tested AVG Secure VPN and found that while the speed was not the best compared to other VPNs, it is pretty enough for all tasks, including non-basic ones. The results are down below.

AVG Secure VPN has 700+ servers in around 37 countries. Because of this middle amount, service can not ensure that you always have the highest speed possible, and the fact that this is an Avast servers makes things not really rainbow. But, lets be honest, not every home has a gigabit connection, so the servers are pretty enough for ordinary tasks that do not go beyond the scope.

The number of countries could be more impressive, but they are still enough for torrenting and relaxed Internet surfing. If you are an ordinary user who does not need mega-high speeds, the AVG Secure VPN welcomes you with a hug, and you will be provided with the best service for ordinary tasks. If you are an advanced user and need a connection of more than 1 gigabit, you should look closer at services at a higher level.

AVG Secure VPN takes your privacy seriously but collects the necessary information to improve the service. That is enough to be sure - the service does not collect your personal information like IP address, browsing history, or transfered data.

AVG Secure VPN only offers one-year, two-year, and three-year payments and does not offer monthly payments. The price is low for the VPN market, but some VPNs offer more comfortable prices.

Only a limited number of payment options are available: credit and debit cards and PayPal.

On the AVG Secure VPN, there is no information about torrenting at all. But we found out that the service allows you to torrent through specialized servers down below, and the speed is good.

We tested the service and can confidently say that AVG Secure VPN is an excellent and inexpensive service for doing basic and regular tasks. Still, it cannot offer high speeds and many functions to demanding users. The middle number of servers and countries, average server speed of 500 megabits, and the absence of some advanced features make you feel limited if you are a pro user.

From a security and privacy perspective, AVG Secure VPN service certainly has a good privacy policy and can be trusted, thanks to the reputation of AVG Antivirus. It collects a minimal amount of user data, and if it does collect it, it is used only to improve the service, but not for selling to cloudy companies.

If you are a regular Internet user, we would advise you to take a closer look at AVG Secure VPN, but if you require more from a VPN service, you should look at something else.
