SoftRadar is a catalogue of Windows programs: popular tools, new releases and — something most publishers no longer keep online — older versions of the same software, so you can roll back to a build that still works on your system. Each product page shows the publisher, the current release and the version archive; each download page shows the file size and the file checksums (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256) so you can verify what you downloaded.

Where the files come from and how we check them

• Source. Installers come from the software publisher — either directly from the publisher's own site or through standard distribution channels (publisher PAD feeds and release listings). We do not repackage, bundle or modify installers; the file you download is the file the publisher released.
• Integrity. Every file we host is hashed on arrival. The SHA-256 checksum is published on the download page, so you can confirm the file was not altered in transit.
• Antivirus. Instead of a "scanned, all clear" badge you cannot verify, we link each file to its public VirusTotal report by SHA-256. You see the verdicts of 70+ antivirus engines for that exact file, not our word for it. (If a file is not yet known to VirusTotal, you can upload it there yourself.)
• Publisher link. Where the publisher's website is alive, the product page links to it, so you can always compare with the original source.
• Removal. Publishers can ask us to take a product down at any time — see our DMCA policy. Users can flag a listing with the "Report misleading" link on every product page; flagged items are reviewed by a person.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is funded by display advertising and, in the VPN section, by affiliate links. Affiliate relationships never change what we host or how a product is described; download buttons for catalogue software always lead to the actual installer, not to an offer page.
