Switch Sound File Converter Free

Switch Sound File Converter Free is the free edition of the audio converter from NCH Software, licensed for non-commercial home use. It changes music and voice recordings from one format to another, for example to make files playable on another device, to shrink a collection or to pull the soundtrack out of a video.

Converts a whole folder of audio files to another format in one run.

Files or whole playlists are added to a list, an output format and encoder settings are chosen, and the batch is converted in one run. MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, FLAC and OGG are among the supported types, MP3 encoding offers constant and variable bit rates, tracks can be previewed and normalised, and music tags are preserved. The free edition does not expire, but professional formats, command-line conversion, tag editing and the CD database are reserved for Switch Plus.
