Capture One is a professional desktop application for RAW conversion, photo editing and image management that includes a package of various designing and styling choices, and virtually any kind of photo-editing feature you might need in your path to perfection. It is often compared with Adobe Lightroom rather than Photoshop, because it works non-destructively on RAW files and organizes images in sessions or catalogs, but there are definitely some differences that long-term can make a huge difference, especially its color engine and tethered capture. Capture One also has a separate app for iPad and iPhone, so photos can be synced and edited from either phone or tablet.
Now that we have gone over the main focus of the described software let's list some of those features. First is, of course, correction of exposure, brightness, noise, clarity, contrast, and many more parameters that connect with the image and influence directly what will come out of it. You can choose among multiple ready styles and presets, or create one that fits you the best, to apply the wanted changes in a few clicks, with effects being applied as a bundle. There are more, no doubt, here they are:
Capture One gives photographers precise color control, layer-based local adjustments and AI masking in a customizable workspace for fast RAW editing.
Features:
Capture One is known for its tethered shooting, which lets studio photographers see and adjust images on the computer immediately after each shot. The program is sold as a subscription or as a perpetual license, in editions for individual photographers and studios, and a free trial is available. It is developed by Capture One A/S, the company that was split off from the camera maker Phase One in 2019.
