Datasly from ClinBAY, a biometrics contract research organisation based in Cyprus, is a Windows viewer for tabular data files. It opens SAS data sets (.sas7bdat and .xpt), R data, CSV and Excel files and is aimed at statisticians and programmers who need to inspect clinical or other study data quickly.

Opens SAS and R data sets for inspection without starting the statistics package itself.

Columns can be moved, renamed, hidden and sorted, rows can be filtered or flagged with colours, and a variable explorer lists distinct values with their counts. An SQL editor derives new data sets, summary statistics are calculated per variable, and views are exported to Excel or CSV. The viewer can also be called from SAS and R sessions. It is freemium: every function can be tried, while a premium account removes watermarks and limits on saved views, projects and derived columns.

Features:

  • Opens .sas7bdat, .xpt, R, CSV and Excel data
  • Filtering, sorting and colour flags for rows
  • SQL editor for deriving and filtering data sets
  • Summary statistics and distinct value counts
  • Export of data views to Excel or CSV
  • Launch from SAS and R programs
