DxO PhotoLab could characterized as a Photoshop-like program, well more like a software package for what it is, that ultimately coincides with multiple photo correction and editing instruments, some divided by specific modules designed for them. Now, PL has it all - from noise reduction processes, manual adjustments which can be done manually or by sliders, multi-layer style editing, to brightness, clearness, sharpness, and many other parameters that are all connected to the picture quality and its output. You can highlight stuff, intensify or blur objects, drag around several effect curves to best suit your view of the picture, color scheme of the image, tone, contrast, and so many other settings which all be adjusted to your demise.
These are, to be completely honest, some of the basic functionalities this software provides, simply because (and it is kind of expected in situations like these) DxO PhotoLab also provides advanced tools like customizable Presets (and these are prepared beforehand), visually represented color and general picture information, LUT Gradings, Style Toning, several rendering options, color balancing, and a huge DNoising sections with detailed settings menu to help you find the best way of preparing the image clearly and quickly.
Features:
It could be said that DxO PhotoLab is somewhat of a Capture One or a Lightroom alternative and that just could be true. Though if you count all of the things listed in this description it would be pretty logical to assume PL provides that and more of its competitors, while also remaining relatively affordable and powerful enough for average (and advanced) users.
DxO PhotoLab is a package of various post-production editing tools that are all mixed in and presented with separate modules assigned to certain jobs
