Eudora

Eudora is a classic email client from QUALCOMM with stationery templates for quick replies, message labels and powerful filters.

Its Content Concentrator condenses long threads and quoted text in the preview pane, so messages are easier to read.

Eudora 6.0.1 added spam protection called SpamWatch, which uses Bayesian filtering.

Version 6.2 additionally added the ScamWatch feature that flags suspicious links within emails in an attempt to prevent phishing.

ScamWatch warns the user before a suspicious link in a phishing email is opened. Eudora can handle several mail accounts using the POP and IMAP protocols.

An important feature, ultra-fast indexed search powered by X1, was added in Eudora 7.0. It finds any email using single or multiple search criteria in seconds.

Eudora 7 also has BossWatch, which helps the user avoid sending emails to a boss or client by accident. The last mainline Windows release was 7.1 in 2006; later Eudora 8 and Eudora OSE were based on Mozilla Thunderbird, and in 2018 the Computer History Museum released the original source code.

Eudora combines fast indexed search, versatile filters and spam protection for managing several POP and IMAP accounts.
