Fldigi (Fast Light Digital modem program) is a free and open-source program which allows an ordinary computer's sound card to be used as a two-way data modem. This software is mostly used by amateur radio operators who connect the microphone and headphone connectors of an amateur or FM radio to the computer's sound card.
Features:
- Supports CW, PSK, RTTY, MFSK, Olivia, Contestia, DominoEX, THOR, MT63 and other modes
- Can offer an alternative to VHF peer-to-peer Winlink together with flmsg and flarq
- Uses a low-cost sound card interface between an FM radio and the computer
- Can switch between voice and digital modes quickly
- Waterfall display, macros, a logbook and rig control through flrig or Hamlib
Lets radio amateurs exchange digital messages locally during emergencies over simplex and repeaters using only a sound card.
