HEC-RAS is a free river analysis system from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for one- and two-dimensional steady and unsteady flow modeling of rivers and channels.
For river engineering and floodplain studies, HEC-RAS 7.0 models one- and two-dimensional water flow through river systems and channels, including steady and unsteady conditions. Engineers use it to analyze water levels and conveyance around features such as bridges and culverts, and to support flood mapping and planning.
