PDF Reader Pro from PDF Technologies, Inc., a KDAN company, is a PDF application for Windows that combines a document viewer with annotation, editing and conversion tools. It is aimed at office workers, students and anyone who handles PDF files daily. Several documents open in tabs with single-page, two-page and full-screen layouts, a dark mode, bookmarks, outlines, text search and text-to-speech.

Reads and marks up PDF files for free and adds editing, conversion and OCR in the paid edition.

Annotations include highlights, underlines, freehand drawing, shapes, text boxes and sticky notes. The paid Pro functions add editing of text and images, page operations such as merging, splitting, extracting and rotating, OCR for scanned documents, form filling, electronic signatures, watermarks and conversion to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, text and image formats. The program is free to install with the reading and basic annotation tools; the full feature set requires a subscription or a permanent licence.
