Twitch Leecher

Twitch is a popular live streaming platform where you can watch your favorite games being played by your favorite players, in real time. Past broadcasts, highlights and uploads stay on a channel only for a limited time, so you may want to save a video on your device and come back to it later, even without an internet connection. Twitch Leecher is a free and open source Windows program (MIT license) by Dominik "Franiac" Rebitzer that downloads these videos. You search by channel name, by video URL or by video ID, choose the video type and time range, pick the quality and start the download. It also supports sub-only videos after you connect your Twitch account, audio-only downloads, and a time selection that saves only part of a video.

Features:

• One of the best features that this application boasts is its download speed, which the developer puts at up to 20 times faster than a direct download with FFMPEG. Most other programs use FFMPEG to download the streams, but this program instead downloads many small video chunks in parallel, so your entire download speed can be utilized; FFMPEG is only used to merge the chunks.

It downloads Twitch videos quickly by fetching many small chunks in parallel and using all of your bandwidth.

This is a very simple program, but that doesn't mean that it lacks features. However, the project is now discontinued: the developer marked the GitHub repository as discontinued, the installers were removed from its releases page, and the program no longer receives updates for changes on the Twitch side.
