When I installed the program I associated the file types it mentioned. Now when I click on one of those file types (such as a bmp file) I get an error message that says that Windows cannot find the file (I just click Ok on that), but the program opens and displays the file (or it is minimized and when maximized yo could see the file). I love the Left and Right browsing that Windows Media Player used. I could press the Left or Right keys on the keyboard and I will be able to go to the next page. On Vallen JPegger you have to click on little buttons and it takes longer to go from one image to the other for compressed files (Windows Media Player is faster with that), not with bmp files. In Vallen JPegger you can also go from one file to the other by clicking on the explorer list and pressing the down or up keys on the keyboard instead of the left and right keys. One good thing is that you do not need to use Windows Explorer to look for the files because the program already has a window for the folders and a window for the files. I like that the program can also pay music files. You just need to tell it where to look (it does not default to the Windows music directory. I really like that you can rotate images without loosing resolution. You can also view the images full size and press the up and down keys to go to the next or previous one in full size.
Just one click on a thumbnail to view an image in full size in a different pane. Most other viewers (FastStone, Irfanview) will require a doubleclick to open a thumbnail to view in a different window, and you have to close the window to continue. Or you can only preview in a small size-to-fit-window without doubleclicking. Not with JPegger. Configurable thumbnail size, multiple views, easy image manipulation. Keyboard shortcut available for most functions (that's important to me as many softwares today are mouse-only).
