VeraCrypt is a free open-source disk encryption software that can create encrypted containers or encrypt entire partitions or drives. It supports various encryption algorithms, including AES, Twofish, and Serpent, as well as cascade encryption and hidden volumes. VeraCrypt can also protect against brute-force attacks and has additional security features such as keyfiles and secure desktop mode.
