WinNTSetup

WinNTSetup is a program that allows you to install Windows on a removable USB drive, a separate hard drive partition or a virtual hard disk (VHD) without booting from the setup disc. The application is almost completely automated. The user only needs to specify the image of the operating system, as well as to choose the boot drive and the drive on which to unpack and install it. Before you start working, be sure to format the "flash drive" and make sure it is large enough to unpack the image (the program shows the free space and file system of the selected drives).

WinNTSetup works with virtually any version of Windows, from Windows 2000 to Windows 11, in x86, x64 and ARM64 editions, and accepts WIM, SWM, ESD and ISO files. When an image is selected, the operating system version will be automatically detected. In addition to creating a USB drive with the operating system, the program also allows you to make a number of settings in preparation for moving the necessary files to the "flash drive". For example, you can use the UxTheme.dll patch to set unsigned design themes, integrate drivers, add an unattended answer file, choose WimBoot or CompactOS mode, add a command prompt to the Explorer context menu, disable the page file, hibernation, System Restore, and so on.

The program is completely free, portable and does not require installation; it runs even in a minimal Windows PE environment. In the WinNTSetup archive you will find executable files for 32-bit and 64-bit systems. WinNTSetup is developed by JFX and published on the MSFN forum, where it is still updated.
