CheckDisk is a powerful software tool that can quickly find and fix disk errors. The application works in the same way as ScanDisk or chkdsk.exe tools installed on Windows operating systems (Windows 2000 and above, Windows Vista with administrator rights). Using CheckDisk, you can choose between standard and full tests. The full test differs from the standard test in that it additionally checks the sectors of the disk. This allows you to find the damaged sectors on your drive and mark them accordingly.

The program allows you to work with hard drives, including SCSI and RAID, as well as removable media. CheckDisk also supports checking CDs. The user manual is only available in German.

CheckDisk swiftly identifies and repairs disk errors, ensuring optimal system performance and preventing potential data loss.

If this (CheckDisk) application works in the same way as ScanDisk or chkdsk that is already pre-installed, then why should anyone install CheckDisk? Surely a detailed comparison should be made on why someone should be more inclined to install and use CheckDisk instead of other alternatives. Additionally, not everyone knows what SCSI and RAID is. Further clarification on what it is and what it relates to should be included. It is also mentioned that this application allows you to "work" with it. What does this mean? To do what with it? It has not been clarified here. Also, the software checks CDs? I believe the majority of computer/laptop users are using digital material, not physical. Even when purchasing products that used to be on a CD, have now the potential of being delivered electronically. The software may become more attractive if it is able to affect USBs as they are more common, rather than their unattractive counterparts (CDs).
