DeskScapes is a program that allows you to make your desktop wallpaper animated, or simply add beautiful visual effects to the background. The user interface is simple and easy to use. The main window of the program will offer you to choose one of the presented images, and also to designate its exposition. Only three options are available: video wallpaper, dynamic wallpaper and mixed mode.
Basically, DeskScapes is a common extension of one of the system services available in Windows Vista and 7 called DreamScene. That's why the work of the program practically doesn't affect the system's performance in any way. It supports multiple monitors and allows you to download new background images directly from the official website. There's also a large gallery of regular static wallpaper.
