HitFilm is a video creation and editing program distributed in paid and free versions. The free edition (Express) includes an amazing variety of tools and works with many popular multimedia formats. This easy to use tool helps to "glue" the video from several parts, add filters, effects and music to it. From the "tasty" HitFilm Express has support for mixing layers using the mask, advanced effects of blur and depth of field, the ability to export video in high resolution using H.264 codec, a good choice of transitions between frames, the function of removing green background from the frame, as well as tools for working with lighting and shadows. It is very unusual to see such a rich functionality in a free editor.

Even more features developers gave the paid version - HitFilm Pro. In addition to all the features of Express, HitFilm's "professional" capabilities include advanced 3D effects, 3D particle simulation, Motion Capture support, fractal animation and footage tools. The structure of HitFilm is a bit like that of Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, but it combines most of the functions from both programs and has a much less "biting" price tag than the applications from Adobe. Like any other program designed to work with "heavy" video and three-dimensional effects, the program has high system requirements, so make sure that before downloading it, your system corresponds to those.
