JCppEdit

JCppEdit allows users to write, compile and run programs in several programming languages from one IDE window. It is an integrated development environment by Dremendo aimed at beginners and students of various backgrounds and skill levels. It is a multiple programming language IDE, so users can work with C, C++, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and plain text files. It is very simple in its interface and includes syntax highlighting, autocomplete, a project explorer and background compilation with live error detection.

JCppEdit allows users to never have to adjust or configure the software in order to write code in their language correctly. It also allows users who have installed it to begin working immediately. It ships with the TDM-GCC (MinGW) and Borland C/C++ compilers, the WinBGIm graphics library and a JDK, so C, C++ and Java programs can be built right after setup. It helps beginners learn a language with hands-on experience, and its Help menu links to a programming tutorial and language references.

JCppEdit does not require the user to install any external compilers to work with the supported languages. The Tools menu adds a calculator, a color picker, an image viewer and a console terminal, and code can be exported to Microsoft Word or RTF format. The program is free for Windows; it has since been renamed Codenora and is developed further under that name, with Python support added.

It is suitable for beginners and needs no separate compiler or JDK installation, as they come bundled with the IDE.
