Kaspersky Free Antivirus is an essential protection software that secures your computer at no cost. It is a free antivirus provided by Kaspersky, packed with various features such as antivirus protection for files, web-based and email activities, automatic updates, self-defense, quarantine measures, and more. With Kaspersky Free Antivirus, you can browse the web with fewer risks, scan USB sticks before opening their files, and get protection against phishing and infected files.

This free antivirus uses the same core scanning technology as Kaspersky's paid products, but it leaves out extras such as the VPN, password manager, parental controls and safe payment protection. Activation requires a free My Kaspersky account.

Kaspersky Free Antivirus provides real-time protection against malware and phishing attacks at no cost and with a light load on the system.

Kaspersky Free Antivirus is no longer developed: in September 2025 Kaspersky support confirmed that the product was discontinued, and the free download page now offers a 30-day trial of Kaspersky Standard instead. Installed copies keep receiving database updates until their activation code expires, and no new free codes are issued. Kaspersky products are also no longer sold or supported in the United States.
