Luminance Studio

Luminance Studio from Pixarra is a painting program built around the idea of painting with light. Instead of putting dark paint on white paper, the artist starts on a black canvas and builds up bright, glowing strokes, which suits fantasy art, light effects, abstract designs and neon-like illustrations as well as natural-media painting.

Creates luminous, glowing artwork that is hard to achieve in ordinary paint programs.

More than 140 brushes are organised in ArtSets for painting, design, overpainting, scribbling and masking, and a brush editor with hundreds of effects creates new ones. Up to 30 layers with many blending modes, 64-bit colour, paper textures and pen pressure support give fine control, while tracing paper, reference panels and a sketchbook with automatic saving help during work.
