If you're not happy with your keyboard layout, it's easy to fix. To do this, simply download SharpKeys, a free open source utility for reprogramming keys.

Do your fingers constantly hit the Caps Lock key by mistake, and this brings a lot of inconvenience? You can use SharpKeys to assign a more convenient function to it, for example, Shift, or disable it altogether. The installed program supports up to 104 key mappings, including multimedia and F-Lock keys, and its Type Key option detects the key you press. Its advantage is that all changes are made directly to the registry, and all changes are retained after the OS reboots.

The undoubted advantage is the ability of SharpKeys to work with different operating systems since Windows 2000 and above, up to Windows 11. New mappings take effect after you log off or restart the PC.

SharpKeys lets users remap or turn off keyboard keys, such as Caps Lock, without any coding or manual registry editing.
