The setup is simple: just create a user account, choose a virtual fax number, and use your newly created account to send faxes. Documents are attached in a regular email interface and then converted to faxes that regular fax machines can read. The document is printed then by the fax machine when it reaches its destination. Conversely, faxes sent to your account are converted to emails with the fax documents attached. Both inbound and outbound faxes can have up to 250 pages.
