Webcam 7

Webcam 7 is a specialized program for work with web and IP-cameras with the help of which you can easily organize video surveillance or web broadcasting.

The program can work with many USB webcams, capture cards and network cameras at once (the PRO edition has no limit on video sources), and they can be viewed and controlled remotely through the built-in web server from another computer or a mobile device. There is no need to install additional server software, as the program has all the necessary settings and tools for remote access and streaming. The application supports multiple user accounts, delineation of access rights, password protection and can run as a Windows service.

Webcam 7 can be configured to work automatically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with continuous DVR recording, or to control the cameras manually (on/off recording, pan, tilt and zoom for compatible cameras), or to configure the camera response using the motion detector and sound detector. Besides, the program can not only shoot video, but also take snapshots after a specified time interval. There is also a scheduler in the functionality that allows to enable and disable scheduled recording. Recordings are saved in H.264 format, and an overlay editor adds text, images and picture-in-picture effects to the video. Captured videos and photos can be saved to your computer's hard drive, uploaded to a server via FTP / FTPS and HTTP / HTTPS, or handled by alert actions such as launching an external application.

As mentioned earlier, Webcam 7 can also be used for live streaming: unlike webcamXP, it broadcasts audio and video in Flash Video (FLV) format, and viewers can watch the cameras through Flash or JavaScript clients in a web browser. Webcam 7 PRO is commercial software with a 21-day trial, it was last updated in 2016, and Moonware Studios recommends its successor Netcam Studio to new users.
