The portable version does not require an installation however it is not integrated into windows requiring you to manually start and manually stop the application in order to mount or unmount images.

*Windows 2000 is not supported directly through them but it can be integrated and used with Windows 2000 if it is properly restructured for Windows 2000.

Ten different tutorials for the different uses of the software are available for your use and can be found in over twenty different languages. The WinCDEmu is super simple. It is able to quickly mount images without taking up much space. The install size is only 2MB and can be used right away, without restarting your computer. There are many tutorials online to help you learn how to mount and create ISO files and images which I found super helpful. Overall, simple and effective.

This application is pretty good. There are a lot of apps that can mount CDs but I have never used one that is as easy as this. Also, it's free. You can't beat that. I used to use daemon tools to mount my cds but I've found that it gives me issues sometimes. This has never given me a problem. Cheers.

I love using WinCDEmu for Windows because it's a program that lets me take full advantage of my CDs and DVDs. In fact, using this program I'm able to retrieve images thereof and WinCDEmu will "read" them as physical drives. I also appreciate how many formats WinCDEmu is compatible with, from RAW to NRG, as well as a whole host of other file types.

WinCDEmu supports more than 30 languages, because of that it is very useful for many of them. It is very easy to mount, Hence I liked it very much. It is one of the open source emulator. It also supports unlimited number of virtual drives. The installation process is also a very simple and it doesn't requires rebooting of system. It is also a light weight so mounting software. I have had WinCDEmu installed on my PC for a few months now and am quite pleased with its performance. It is a great tool for mounting ISO files of all kinds and is very easy to use.
