9Zip is a great software for compressing and extracting files. I have been using it for a few years and it hasn't let me down yet. The interface is quite easy to use, and the compressed files that it creates are very small and take up very little storage space. I never have any trouble extracting the files either, as it works with all the major archive formats. I like that you can encrypt your files with a password if you want to keep them secure. It also supports batch processing, which is really helpful when dealing with a lot of files at once. Overall, I have been very impressed with 9Zip's performance.
