Audiograbber

Audiograbber is an excellent program for copying music from an audio CD. It can automatically normalize the volume level, remove silence from the beginning or end of songs, and save tracks as WAV or MP3 files. Audiograbber was designed to use the freedb online database to retrieve information about the disc (artist name, album and all song names) and fills ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags automatically; note that the original freedb service was shut down in 2020. It also allows you to record music from your vinyl discs or audio cassettes through the line input and convert it to WAV or MP3 format. Other functions include reading CD-TEXT, grabbing CDG karaoke tracks, comparing two files and calculating checksums.

The interface of the program is very simple and easy to learn, and the program itself has a lot of settings and features for configuration, and it works with virtually any CD-ROM drive that supports reading digital audio. In case of any difficulties, the program has a detailed help file, which describes each function of the program. Audiograbber has been freeware since 2004; the current 1.83 2020 Edition is offered as a free ad-supported download and as an ad-free Pro version, and language files are available for dozens of languages.
