Auto-Tune Evo VST

Auto-Tune Evo VST is a powerful and versatile plugin for vocal processing from Antares Audio Technologies. Released in 2008 as version 6 of the industry-standard pitch correction software, it introduced the Evo Voice Processing Technology for pitch detection, pitch shifting and formant processing, and it is used by engineers and producers to create polished vocal performances. The product is now discontinued, and Antares provides its installers only to existing license owners.

Key Features:

• Real-time pitch correction – Auto-Tune Evo VST's Automatic Mode detects the pitch of the input, finds the closest note in the selected key and scale, and corrects it in real time. The Retune Speed and Humanize controls set how fast and how natural the correction sounds.

• Vibrato controls – The Natural Vibrato knob adjusts the depth of the existing vibrato, and the Create Vibrato section adds new vibrato with adjustable shape, rate, variation and onset delay.

• Graphical pitch editor – Auto-Tune Evo VST includes a Graphical Mode that displays the detected pitch envelope and lets you draw curves or create note objects to fine-tune or completely re-shape your vocal performance.

• Transpose and formant correction – The Transpose control shifts the output pitch by up to an octave up or down, and Formant Correction preserves the natural character of the voice over a much wider pitch-shift range.

• Throat modeling – The Throat Length control passes the voice through a variable-length model of the human vocal tract, making it sound smaller or larger.

• Input types and scales – Presets for soprano, alto/tenor, low male, instrument and bass instrument sources, and a choice of major, minor, chromatic and 26 historical and microtonal scales.

• MIDI features – The scale can be learned from MIDI, target notes can be set via MIDI in real time, and the on-screen keyboard can be used to edit or bypass scale notes.

• Streamlined user interface – Auto-Tune Evo VST's user interface is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, allowing you to quickly find the settings you need with minimal effort.

• Plug-in formats – Auto-Tune Evo was offered in Native (VST, RTAS, Audio Units) and TDM versions; this Windows VST version runs inside a VST-compatible host application (DAW).

Auto-Tune Evo VST was a widely used version of the industry-standard pitch correction software. It offers intuitive controls and a clear user interface for both quick automatic correction and detailed manual editing. With its real-time pitch correction, vibrato controls, graphical pitch editor, formant correction and throat modeling, it remains a capable tool for polishing vocal performances, although Antares has replaced it with newer Auto-Tune versions.
