Active DJ Studio from MultiMedia Soft is a software component for developers rather than a DJ program for end users. It is an ActiveX control, also offered for .NET, that adds sound playback and mixing to applications written in languages such as Visual Basic, C++ or C#. Several players or virtual decks can play at the same time, which suits DJ, radio automation and jukebox software.
Gives developers ready-made audio playback and mixing for their own applications.
The component decodes MP3, WAV, Ogg Vorbis and other formats, plays files directly from ZIP archives and streams audio from the internet. VU meters, spectrum, oscilloscope and waveform displays give visual feedback, VST effects can be applied, MIDI and video playback are supported, and a TracksBoard helps to compose audio from several tracks. Finished applications can be distributed royalty-free.
