Canon MF Toolbox

The Canon MF Toolbox is a Windows desktop application that allows configuration of a Canon scanner/printer device. It comes prepackaged with all the drivers needed to set up the program with a connected Canon printer or scanner. Once all drivers are installed, the application helps the user manage the scanning and printing functions of various office documents, images, and other files saved on the computer.  Canon MF Toolbox also contains a built-in OCR for converting scanned images to typed text and can convert scanned documents directly to a PDF. This freeware application is compatible with Microsoft Windows 32-bit or 64-bit devices. 

The Canon MF Toolbox program features properties that allow the user to change settings for all users on the computer, or update preferences and settings for individual profiles. Each functionality provided (e-mail, print, scan) with the program allows the user to select settings for the tasks they are performing including paper size, color or grayscale printing and scanning, the DPI of scans, or quality of printing. Canon MF Toolbox can be configured to run with an SMTP e-mail provider for a quick scan to e-mail functionality that allows the user to preview the scanned document before sending it to colleagues.

The scan feature of the program provides a quick preview allowing for the selection of the areas of the image the user wants to scan. Additionally, the user can adjust brightness and contrast setting for the scan, and select the final output resolution.
