This software can be used to scan the surface for errors, measure the drive's performance, check the health status (by using S.M.A.R.T.), erase all data securely and more. This Windows-based hard drive tester works with Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7 and 2000 -- also there was no trouble using it with Windows 10 and Windows 8. The four tabs of the program are Benchmark, Info, Health and Error Scan.
Features:
In conclusion, HD Tunes is very user-friendly with some customizable features. It also supports all types of hard drives. The program is nice because it not only lets you run an error scan but also a benchmark read test (many other hard drive testers do not).
The program is easy to use
HD Tune works with any internal or external hard drive, SSD or memory card (may also work with USB sticks, iPods, etc). It displays the temperature of the drive at both the top of the screen and in the notification area of the Windows taskbar.
The downfall to the program is that you are unable to save information directly to a file.
