hMailServer is a free mail server for Windows operating systems created by Martin Knafve. It contains tools for mail backup and administration, working as a Windows service. POP3, SMTP and IMAP protocols are supported. The program uses MySQL, PostgreSQL or MS SQL databases to store indexes and settings, and the mail itself is stored on hard drives in MIME format. If the database network environment is not installed, the program contains the MySQL installer, which will be launched automatically during installation.
The mail server supports all major functions, including virtual domains, domain allocation, mailing lists, multidomains and aliases. Users can authenticate through both the local user database and the Active Directory database. The program has built-in support for working with several IP-addresses simultaneously, ClamWin/ClamAV antivirus, or any other antivirus scanner with command line.
