PostgreSQL is a free database management system that has been in existence for more than 15 years and in its long period of "life" has managed to gain great popularity among users. It allows you to work with a variety of data types, including SQL92 and SQL99. PostgreSQL also supports large databases that store "heavy" media files. The environment includes C++, Perl, Ruby, .NET, Java and many others. You will find detailed documentation for working with the system in the "delivery" package. Among its other features, it is worth mentioning the possibility of expansion with additional modules, as well as a powerful replication mechanism. It is also worth mentioning that the system is distributed completely free of charge.

PostgreSQL offers robust solutions for data management, supports large databases and various data types, and allows expansion with additional modules.

- supports databases of any size;

- is fully expandable and scalable;

- supports many software interfaces;

- has a reliable replication mechanism;

- is distributed completely free of charge.

PROS
Supports numerous programming languages including Java, Python, .Net, and more.
Provides high concurrency without read locks.
Offers robustness and reliability with ACID transactions.

CONS
Limited support for full-text searches compared to other databases.
Higher learning curve due to complex functionality.
Fewer third-party tools and interfaces available.

Was just trying to get some things down with some machine learning but didn't want to write the code myself. I have some minor abilities but find something like that too complicated. I downloaded PostgreSQL with pretty low expectations, and at first I thought I was right. But after messing around with it for a couple hours I started to get the hang of it and I think its pretty great.

I have been using PostgreSQL for several years now and I find it to be a reliable and flexible software. It provides great performance and scalability options when dealing with large datasets. Setting up a new database is easy, and the documentation is detailed and well-written. Furthermore, PostgreSQL is open-source and there are many helpful online communities if you ever have any questions or need help. The ability to customize and extend the software allows you to tailor it to your own specific needs. I also find the integrated authentication and security features to be a great asset. Overall I'm very satisfied with PostgreSQL and I would highly recommend it.
