NetBeans is a free Integrated Development Environment or an IDE. It is mainly used for Java related development.

However, NetBeans IDE can also be used for PHP, C/C++, Groovy, and even for JavaScript related projects. This IDE can also be downloaded with a full featured JDK. If users download that then they do not need to download the JDK separately.

NetBeans also supports debugging of custom JavaFX and Swing shells. It also has some additional support for Git. This IDE comes with advanced configurations for Maven and JavaEE.

NetBeans can be used on Windows, Linux, or even on MacOS. It has a dedicated community forum. They also publish many useful blogs on their official website. It also receives updated frequently.

However, this IDE lacks in some cases compared to other similar IDEs. The UI of the IDE is also pretty old. Sometimes it can slows down the entire computer.
