Nuendo

Nuendo is a professional digital audio workstation for recording, editing and mixing audio for film, TV, games and music. The combination of power and features makes Nuendo an indispensable sound laboratory for those who are professionally engaged in non-linear sound editing. The program allows you to use almost all audio formats. MIDI data can be used with the built-in sequencer. VSTi, VST and ASIO technologies are supported.

In order to facilitate the use of the application, the Nuendo interface was made in the style of the Cubase program. Thanks to this, those who are familiar with Cubase will quickly get used to this utility. Both programs are built on the same audio engine, but Nuendo is not a simplified or renamed Cubase. It contains the music production tools of Cubase Pro and adds features for post-production: an ADR system for dialogue recording, video playback and export, loudness metering, Dolby Atmos mixing and Ambisonics up to 4th order. Game Audio Connect sends audio assets directly to the Audiokinetic Wwise middleware. With each new version, this program becomes more functional; Nuendo 15 added AI-based speech-to-text transcription of dialogue and a dialogue intelligibility meter. Nuendo supports several monitors at the same time through configurable workspaces, which simplifies and speeds up the work. Nuendo is a commercial product for Windows and macOS, and Steinberg offers a free trial version.
