A wide functionality, extensibility, a large number of settings and built-in debugging systems will attract the attention of professional developers.

The oXygen XML Editor has several operating modes on which the editor interface depends. In the upper right corner there are buttons to choose from: Text Editing, Grid editor and two XSLT and XQuery debuggers. In Text Editing mode, XML files will be displayed as normal files in the text editor. With all the standard actions (undo, copy, paste, search and replace, etc.). For each action there is a button on the toolbar and key combinations (if necessary, they can be set up manually).

In the Grid Editing mode, the document will be displayed as a hierarchical structure consisting of nested tables. You can open and minimize them by clicking on them, make changes, edit attributes or simply view the content.

The program also provides two powerful debuggers XQuery and XSLT with full control over checking and searching for errors in the code. In addition, two additional tools are included: XML Author, which is necessary for publishing finished projects, joint development and work with Git/GitHub, WebDAV and SharePoint servers, and XML Developer, which allows you to edit the source code of XML, design schemes and work with XSLT.

It is not so user friendly as it slow and crashes often. I use this to right topics for my medical resource platform. It is a detailed documentation tool. That gives a ne experience for writer. At sometimes it seems to be little confusing software.
