Phota

Phota from Whizical (Jeff L. Holcomb) is a free program for presenting and managing photo collections on a Windows PC. A guided wizard turns folders of pictures into interactive on-screen albums, sizing the photos automatically, and several folders can be loaded in one batch. Albums can also hold audio and video files next to the pictures.

Turns folders of photos into browsable albums and slideshows without any setup work.

Albums can be browsed page by page, played as sequential or random slideshows, or explored in a 3D gallery view with an automatic walk-through. IPTC and EXIF information is read from the files, and text search finds pictures within one album or across the whole catalogue. Frames, backgrounds and colour effects change the look, and pictures can be printed or set as wallpaper.

• Album wizard with automatic photo sizing
• Batch loading from several folders
