The Pitch Analyzer application enables you to identify the perceived gender of their voice by recording a one minute sample, analyzing the range of pitch and storing the results for tracking progress over time. It is recommended to use a headset, for voice recording due to variations in device microphones. While the application serves as a tool for monitoring pitch changes and improvements, it cannot replace professional speech analysis software. Recent updates have introduced features such as the ability to delete recordings, a display of pitch graphs and support for languages. The goal of this application is to provide users with insights into their voice pitch while acknowledging its limitations and continually enhancing it based on user feedback. The device consists of signal processing circuitry and digital computing/display circuitry. The analog circuitry takes a signal from a source, amplifies it if necessary filters out frequency bands. It generates a digital reference signal that represents zero crossings of the analog signal. The digital computing circuitry analyzes time data from zero crossings to determine the pitch by comparing delayed signals with the reference signal. The pitch information is then converted into signals that drive the display for presentation purposes. This invention aims to address challenges in measuring pitch that arise from changes in structures and amplitude fluctuations, in naturally occurring acoustic waveforms.
