Print Queue Manager by Chris Dunn is a print management tool for computer labs, libraries and internet cafés. It watches the print queues of printers attached to the PC or shared from a server and shows every job live, so staff can pause, resume or delete jobs. With AutoQueue, incoming jobs are held until they are released manually, which prevents unwanted or unpaid printing.
Lets staff hold, release and charge for print jobs from one screen.
Each job is logged to a database with the user, pages and cost, calculated from per-printer prices for colour and greyscale pages. Reports on jobs, users and payments can be exported to HTML or CSV, and old or oversized jobs that were never printed are cleaned up on a schedule. The free edition covers the main functions; the program is no longer actively developed.
