ProKon

ProKon (short for Professional Converter) is an engineering unit conversion utility for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP, Vista, 7 and 8, including 64-bit editions. It supports more than 400,000 conversions in 26 different categories, called classes, such as mass, length, viscosity, density, concentration, light, temperature and area. It focuses on the SI (metric) and Imperial (English) systems and also provides access to many foreign, ancient and archaic units. Conversions are calculated dynamically as you type, and either value can be edited for quick what-if calculations.

One of the key features of ProKon is its Periodic Table of Elements, which shows atomic number, atomic weight, density, melting and boiling points and descriptive text for each element. In addition, it offers geometry formulas, a table of scientific constants and the density of over 600 common materials. Context-sensitive help can be accessed at any point during program use, and converted values can be printed or copied to the clipboard for pasting into other applications. A Custom class lets you add your own units.

In addition to these conversion tools, ProKon includes more than 60 additional modules for a wide variety of scientific, construction, and educational calculations. They cover inorganic chemicals, nutritional data, standard sieves, wire and sheet gauges, number base conversion, electrical and meteorological calculations, concrete, lumber and paint quantities, twist drill sizes and resistor or capacitor values. The built-in ProKalc calculator adds scientific and financial functions with a scrolling tape.
