PuTTY is a popular tool among SSH and Telnet clients. It is equipped with additional connectivity via Raw/TCP and Rlogin. It also has a built-in terminal emulator xterm, which provides an effective environment for advanced users.

PuTTY Portable includes all the same options, but contains all the settings in the same place as the program itself, so there will be no unnecessary entries in the system registry or on the hard disk. You can also carry the program on a "flash drive" and run it from there.

A distinctive feature of PuTTY is that you can use it within the legal boundaries of your country, as the program takes into account both local and international cryptographic laws.

PuTTY launches with the opening of its powerful configuration panel, helping you customize and customize your sessions and connections. You can easily select the type of connection (Raw, Telnet, Rlogin, SSH and Serial) and configure the authorization options for the current connection. The terminal section provides several general settings, as well as "line discipline" and remote printer management settings. You can also set up keyboard control, alerts and some other advanced parameters. It is possible to adjust the appearance, behavior and color of the window.

The Connection area allows you to configure low-level TCP connections, the Internet protocol version and authorization details. Once you have configured all the settings, you can control and use the computers that you have connected to. PuTTY allows you to quickly switch between different machines and supports multiple encryption algorithms: AES, DES, Blowfish, 3DES and Arcfour.

Great software allowing connections to web servers and other services like telnet. Much like the full blown version of PuTTY you no longer need to install and can run the software from a memory stick. The portable version of PuTTY has made working within a locked down office environment so much easier.

I love using PuTTY Portable for Windows because it acts as an SSH client, but also doubles as a telnet. I appreciate that I'm able to use it to get connected with my systems when I'm on traveling on the road, and the security and peace of mind that it offers me is just unparalleled. It's so convenient to use because I don't even need to install Windows to run it.

It is portable, meaning it does not need to be installed and can run from a USB drive or any other portable device. It can be used to connect to remote systems over SSH and telnet, allowing users to access a remote command line interface. It also supports SCP, SFTP, and tunneling.

I recently tried the PuTTY Portable software for the first time and found it to be quite handy. It was easy to use and worked well for secure remote login purposes. The user interface is intuitive and the software is lightweight which made it fast to download and install. I also found that the software could be easily configured to meet my needs. The documentation was also very helpful in providing detailed instructions on using the software. I'm glad I gave it a try as I'm looking forward to using it for future projects.
