Release : Security Task Manager 2.3.3
Antivirus check: passed
Security Task Manager is an application that analyzes running processes to identify potentially malicious ones. The program assigns a specific potential hazard rating (from 0 to 100) to each running process. This very ranking is based on community feedback. You can also check any process from the list on the VirusTotal service and find out the number of positive reactions of various antiviruses to it. Thanks to this program you can determine the presence in the system of processes that display advertising, carry out mining cryptocurrency in the background, transmit confidential information about the user, help to manage the computer remotely and do other "unpleasant things". The Security Task Manager is especially active in responding to processes without signatures and those that use too many system resources.
Another interesting function of the program is that it can check other aspects of system security, such as the presence of running antivirus, saved cookie files that can be used to track the user, and so on. The Security Task Manager interface consists of one window with a list of processes. Highlighting any of them will open a panel with detailed information about the certificates related to the program and the developer company. Double-clicking opens a window where you can leave a personal comment. The application can also evaluate the safety of your antivirus by its own rating and, in case of a low rating, recommend more reliable programs of this kind.
