TextEdit is a text editor with tab support. The program can highlight HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, PERL, SQL, Delphi, C, C, C++ and other languages, is able to show line numbers, supports search and replacement, bookmarks and can work with documents of unlimited size. In addition, TextEdit allows you to compare text files with each other, view changes made in your web browser, open files directly from archives and convert documents to PDF format. TextEdit supports hotkeys. The program can be successfully used as a replacement for a defaulted Windows notebook. The special convenience of TextEdit is that this editor has a certain resemblance of a built-in file-browser - it opens in the form of a panel and allows you to quickly get access to the necessary documents without using the standard dialog box "Open File".

TextEdit offers various programming language support, file comparison, and direct file access for efficient coding.

TextEdit looks ready to be a decent competitor with Notepad++, between its language functionality, tab support and other basic features. What would certainly draw me to it over competing software, as someone who does both casual and focused programming work, is the ability to compare files, which can help greatly in identifying mistaken changes. The built-in file browser however sounds potentially problematic and unnecessary, but may also assist with organization.

A great text editing software, grants you the ability to compare text documents, highlight HTML and can assist you with using Javascript. Very useful for bloggers who code their own blogs, site builders and software devs. A great replacement for Windows notebook as well. Recommended!

It works great with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, PERL, SQL, Delphi, C, C#, C ++ and other languages, as it highlights important text within each language. It can show line numbers and more. This is the best option for editing Windows texts. I will always use. Very cool.
