Tone Generator is a small application designed to generate sounds of a certain frequency with the ability to work simultaneously with 16 channels and export to WAV format. It will be useful for users who need to calibrate and test audio equipment or set up musical instruments.
The Tone Generator can create tones from a simple sinusoidal wave to a stereo tone, where the audio signals have different frequencies on different channels (binaural rhythms). In addition, it is possible to generate several types of noise: white, pink, gray and others.
"Tone Generator simplifies the process of calibrating and testing audio equipment with customizable, multi-channel sound frequencies."
The user can set the frequency in several ways: manually specify the frequency to the nearest hundredths of a beat, select the ready note (8 octaves are preset in the program) or mark it with a special slider on the image of a sound wave. The program allows you to generate up to sixteen tones at the same time, specify the initial and final frequency of each tone, as well as use various forms of signals, such as sinusoidal, meandering, sawtooth and symmetric-triangular.
Other important functions to mention are the ability to change the pulse duration, set the relative amplitudes for all tones in the list and change the volume. For better control over the program, hot keys are also available to the user, which can be reassigned in the setup window.
- generation of audio tones with a given frequency, duration and waveform;
- the ability to generate different types of noise;
- Export sounds to WAV files;
- the ability to add up to 16 channels;
- the possibility of selecting notes from 8 octaves;
- the ability to create binaural rhythms.

The Tone Generator is a tool that you can use on your Windows, Mac or Pocket PC to create types of audio test tones, sweeps or noise waveforms. It works like a generator for waves frequencies and signals. It is suitable for purposes such as aligning radio studios, calibrating audio equipment tuning musical instruments, educational demonstrations testing acoustics and ensuring sound card quality. This tool offers a range of features, including generating waves, square waves, triangular waves, sawtooth waves, impulses, white noise, and pink noise. You can adjust the frequency from 1Hz to 22kHz. Produce tones at the same time. It allows for mono or separate stereo operation. It provides options for both logarithmic and linear tone sweeps. You can also play back the tones in time. Save them as WAV files.
