Transwiz

Transwiz

Introduction

Transwiz (User Profile Transfer Wizard) is a free user profile migration tool from ForensiT designed to simplify the process of moving user data and settings between computers and between different versions of Windows. Transwiz packs your personal data and settings into a standard zip archive, which you copy to the new computer; the wizard then unpacks the archive there and restores the user profile, automatically reconfiguring it as necessary for the new operating system. Transwiz can transfer profile data from Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 to machines running Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10, and it automatically converts Windows 7 profiles to Windows 10.

Transwiz enables users to easily transfer user profiles and settings from one PC to another.

Conclusion

Transwiz is a simple, free user profile migration tool that makes it easy to move user data and settings between computers and between different versions of Windows. It packs the whole profile into a single archive, restores it on the target machine and can even join that machine to a domain. Note that the profile being transferred cannot be the one you are currently logged on with, so a second account is needed on the source computer. Transwiz is a good solution for users and administrators who need to migrate user profiles, files and settings from one computer to another, or from one version of Windows to another.
