An update for the Windows 7 operating system, also known as the System Update Readiness Tool (CheckSUR), designed to troubleshoot issues that may interfere with the correct installation of updates and Service Pack 1. It checks servicing packages, manifests and related registry data, repairs what it can and writes the results to CheckSUR.log. The tool was distributed through Windows Update, and you can also download and install it manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
