In fact, Video2Webcam creates a virtual webcam to which your specified video file is broadcast. The program can be used in such popular video chats as Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, etc. You don't even need a webcam to transfer video from a file. With Video2Webcam you can make fun of your friends by pretending to be someone else (and you can put a live video on it for fun). The interface of Video2Webcam is very simple - you choose a video file, specify the desired frequency and frame size, click on the button "Play" - and the video begins to broadcast. The program supports many graphic and video formats: AVI, BMP, PNG, FLV, GIF, JPG, MP4, MPG, RM, RMVB, WMV, etc.

Lets me share additional contact with my friends and family during video chats. Instead of trying to show them the screen or sending them a link, I can directly simulate a video to my webcam so they can see it directly. Then i can react in real time to them, which is nice.

The premise is simple, this program allows you to use prerecorded video as live feed for a live online chat session. This program works with almost every online chat service provider on the market and supports almost every video format out there with no video length limit. A useful application if you ever have the need to share pre recorded video on a online chat.

I've had great success using it in video conferencing, and have had no problems with video or audio quality. It's also great that it works with all the major video applications. It has a good selection of options, so it can be tailored to fit your needs. I really like that it's free and doesn't have any ads or pop-ups. The only downside is that it can be a bit slow when loading videos into it. Overall, I find it to be a great program.
