VobSub is a set of components for creating, editing and copying titles from VOB data. The toolkit is ideal for working with DVDs, allowing you to insert your own titles into a video file.
Title copying can be done using two methods - OCR and Bitmaps. The best way to do that, of course, is to use the second method. This is the variant that VobSub offers. The program saves titles in the following formats: .idx and .sub.

Although I am unsure what a VOB is, it looks like this tool is beneficial in renaming a video file. .dx or .sub are avaliable file types, which seems like good options. OCR or Bitmaps seem to be the two methods to extract data from.
