Abacus is an educational program for children that allows you to learn about an ancient device such as a whiteboard. The application imitates Chinese scores, which are divided in two frames with knuckles strung on the spokes. One half of the board is designed to count units and the other half is for fives. Abacus users can move the knuckles and the program will show the final numbers. It is also possible to work in the reverse mode, when the user enters a number, and the program itself moves the necessary kernels.
The main benefit of using Abacus software is that it provides an interactive and engaging platform for children to learn counting and arithmetic.

I let my son use Abacus for a couple hours a week and he really enjoys it. I have noticed a gradual difference in his math abilities and I think its because of Abacus. There are a few issues that I run into when I try and use it but somehow my son has figured it all out so I think its only my technological ineptitude lol. I think this app is great for anybody trying to learn some math.
