CCMiner is a popular mining program for Monero, Zcash, MaxCoin, VertCoin, CryptoCoin, DarkCoin, AnimeCoin, DigiByte, LBRY Credits, Midnight, AEON and other less known cryptocurrencies. This utility was created on the basis of the miner of the same name by Christian Buchner. Unfortunately, the author of the original project lost interest in his child and has not updated the source files of the utility since June 2014. In turn, a small team of enthusiasts decided to fix the problem, and eventually it all led to the creation of a new improved version of the program. Currently, the utility has stable support for CUDA technology for graphics cards from NVIDIA, color hash lighting and new mining algorithms for advanced cryptocurrencies.
CCMiner is launched via a BAT file ("batnik"), in which all the necessary configuration settings, mining pool address and Stratum mode activation key must be specified in advance. The utility itself opens in the command line window. If you have correctly specified all the parameters in the "batnik", then a few seconds after the program is loaded the mining process will start. To control the extraction of cryptocurrency and the status of your video card, the utility provides special commands, which can be found in more detail in the official user manual.
CCMiner is far from being the easiest altoin mining program, but thanks to its flexible settings and absence of a graphical interface, this utility demonstrates a rather high speed of mining (kilohash/s). At the same time, it focuses on a huge number of potentially profitable cryptocurrencies, when, like many old miners, they offer only a limited set of tools for extracting resource-intensive Ethereum and Bitcoin.
